About us

 

Welcome in our cattery, we are Ewa and Marcin, we live in Warsaw, tha capital of Poland.

Our official cattery name was registered by FIFE when we decided that Russian Blues are more than just a hobby.

 

Russian Blue cats are elegant and clever like elves. That is why we decided to name our cattery "Galathilion". Name comes form "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien. The shape of tree Galathilion was imprinted into southern gate of Moria. It is the three of many moons, comes from white three that enlightened the land of Valars.

Russian Blues become our great passion with our first girl - Nel, who captured our hearts within one second.

With her gentle character, kind behavior, fluffy fur and wise gaze Nel get our love and become our favorite friend.

 

Usually she was missing us when we were at work and awaited our return inpatient. That is why we decided to buy her a sister – Nadia.

 

And this is how it began. We started to go for shows with our cats and we get into Russian Blue breed and their history. We are members of RUScat Club where we met many interesting people who share our passion.

 

Our third cat – Diana seduced us with unlimited energy, will to play and prank, her plush, bright coat.

 

We developed our passion and import new sweet girl, this time she came to us from Izrael - Brightlight cattery. Her name is Idylla, but she is full of energy and rather should be called ' tornado' ;-)

 

At present we live with 4 blue girls and one big boy from New York. 

Every cat is different not only as far as her/his appearance is concerned but also in character. We love to observe them for hours, watch how they play and interact each other. We consider our cats to be members of our family.

 

Our boy - Rodion is very frendly, there is a lot of love in his behavior, he flight to us from USA.

 

Nel – very shy and delicate is our home princess. She likes to hide in the highest place in our house and watch everything from closet. Nadia is true aristocrat, little selfish and demanding. She gives her attention to us only when she has will to do. We are her favorite mean of communication as she loves to jump on our shoulders and sit there when we are doing some house.

 

Diana is like volcano - unlimited source of energy, never tired. She is also "water cat", as she likes to play with water.
